Features: Zhao Hanyang, a renowned erhu player and educator, was born on December 12, 1954, in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. After graduating from the National College of Chinese Traditional Music in 1982, he joined the faculty and currently serves as the Director of the National College of Chinese Traditional Music and a Professor. He is a member of the China Music, a committee member of the Artists' Department of the China Talent Research Association, and a member of the National Erhu Examination Committee. He has published a large number of erhu books, authored over 70 academic papers and composed more than 10 works, and recorded numerous albums and tapes. Among them, the 1994 released personal erhu album CDs "Moonlit Night" and "Autumn in the Han Palace" under the "Series of Famous Traditional Chinese Musical Instruments" were highly acclaimed. In 1991, he co-authored and hosted the first national television teaching program for Chinese traditional musical instruments, "Children Learning Erhu," in collaboration with China Central Television (CCTV), which received widespread praise. The latter won the second prize in the national television outstanding teaching program selection. In recent years, he has published various teaching audio-visual materials, including "Children Learning Erhu" and "National Erhu Examination Guidance," totaling 8 sets with nearly 30 hours of content, making significant contributions to erhu education. His artistic biography has been selected for inclusion in "The Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Musicians," "The World Who's Who," "The 21st Century Talent Series," as well as "The Cambridge Who's Who" from Cambridge University in the UK.
