More Effective C++ Chinese Edition

Author: Scott Meyers
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-03-01
Features: Following Effective C++, Scott Meyers released this "sequel" in 1996. There are fewer items but more pages, as the selection this time is more advanced than the ", especially in Chapter 5. Meyers names this chapter "Techniques" and clearly tells you that it contains patterns, such as virtualctors, smartpointers, referencecounting, proxyclasses, doubledispatching, etc. Each item in this chapter spans 15 to 30 pages, truly making one feel as if they are "reaching the end of the mountain and the river, only to find a new path in the willows and flowers." Although the publication date is somewhat outdated, this book has no second edition because when it was published (1996), the C++ Standard was almost finalized, and the book was written based on the then-standard draft. The differences between it and the current C++ standard specifications are almost negligible. Meyers has also explained and highlighted the few flexible areas that might change. Readers can visit the website provided by the author to see the corrections and discussions for both volumes (the number of them is astonishing. Fortunately, most are technical discussions or refinements of wording, with no major errors).
