Features: Chu Suiliang is known as one of the "Three Great Calligraphers of Early Tang" alongside Ouyang Xun and Yu Shennan, leaving a great legacy in the development of Chinese calligraphy. This book presents one of Chu Suiliang's most outstanding works. As the renowned Song Dynasty calligrapher Mi Fu once praised, "[Like a warhorse being skillfully ridden]," it pushes the limits of brushwork, indeeding new grounds unexplored by predecessors and pioneering a unique style of regular script. Since ancient times, it has been regarded as the best teaching material for comparison and study alongside Ouyang Xun's "Nine Dragons Screen" and Yu Shennan's "Confucius Temple Hall Stele." This book systematically analyzes its calligraphy and can be studied in comparison with the previously published "Nine Dragons Screen," both edited by the same author. The book is divided into three parts: basic strokes, structural methods, and transmission writing techniques. It is one of the "Calligraphy Technique Lectures" series. This series selects premium stele and tablet calligraphy works from China's dynasties as its foundation, striving for practicality in editing while largely preserving the artistic style and features of the originals. Through modern techniques, it enables calligraphy enthusiasts to better imitate and learn, making it a highly useful calligraphy textbook. Additionally, a small brush mat is included as a bonus.
