Referencing foreign books often made it difficult to find specialized terms and plant names, hindering the progress of knowledge and scientific development. Thus, the author began to copy the specialized terms and plant names of horticulture and general agriculture that he had read, accumulating them over time. When revisiting them, he found it tedious and time-consuming. Therefore, he decided to rewrite them on index cards, arrange them in order, and publish them as a supplement in a journal, gradually compiling and editing them into a book.
