Features: Absolute Power is an outstanding political novel that delves deeply into the significance of power supervision, following Made in China and Supreme Power. Mayor Qian Jiansheng created a historic reform and opening-up success in Jingzhou but also gave rise to the most severe corruption the city had ever seen. Overnight, two of the city's standing committee members, along with his wife and daughter, were placed under investigation by the provincial Discipline Inspection Commission. The man investigating the case is Qian Jiansheng's "rival"—Party Secretary Liu Zhongtian of the provincial Discipline Inspection Commission. Seven years ago, Qian Jiansheng used absolute power to oust Liu Zhongtian, then mayor of Jingzhou, during his relocation. On the way, Liu was involved in a fatal car accident, losing his son and leaving his wife paralyzed. As the curtain rises on this fierce political struggle, a cunning and treacherous political conspiracy is hidden among the clues. Mayor Zhao Fangfang pushes the political battle to its boiling point. In this book, Zhou Meisen, with his unique political insight, once again showcases his political talent. His probing into absolute power and deferred power is thought-provoking. While delivering readers a strong spiritual shock and emotional impact, the novel portrays a thrilling "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" among political figures. The typical characters Qian Jiansheng, Liu Zhongtian, and Zhao Fangfang are like gallery pieces of the era, brimming with vivid life and the dew of the times, meeting readers with their freshness. When the novel was published, a 25-episode television series with the same title was in production, backed by a million yuan investment. The film stars cinematic giants Tang Guoqiang, Siqin Gaowa, and Gao Ming, promising to create a strong effect and the Chinese literary world.
