Features: The book "Analysis ofReview Strategies" has been highly praised by candidates since its first edition due to its innovative format, accurate explanation of key points, concise language, insightful analysis of question-setting patterns, and its highly guiding and authoritative nature. To meet the needs of candidates, the book has been further revised based on the previous edition and is exclusively published by the China Renmin University Press. In terms of its structural framework, the book organizes questions by subject, strictly selecting from more than a decade of past exam papers according to the key points specified in the "Political Theory Exam Syllabus." Some content that no longer aligns with the current syllabus has been removed, making the questions more relevant to the exam requirements. The analysis of the questions directly targets the assessed knowledge points. In the multiple-choice section, not only are the correct answers explained, but the distractors are also analyzed to help candidates understand why they are incorrect. This enhances the accurate understanding and mastery of key points, enabling targeted review and reducing unnecessary burdens. In terms of the arrangement of key points, similar or related points are grouped together for analysis. This not only facilitates comparative analysis but also provides candidates with important insights: that similar or related key points are often retested after a few years, and that there are changes in the assessed knowledge points and question types. This helps candidates develop a practical understanding of the fundamental patterns of question-setting. Additionally, the book does not separate questions by subject (liberal arts or sciences) for the following reasons:
1. This approach saves candidates' review time, as a significant number of questions in past exams are shared by both subjects. Separate analysis would be redundant, but our method avoids this redundancy, providing candidates with more comprehensive information.
2. Since 2003, both subjects have used a unified set of questions. Continuing to separate them would no longer be practical.
3. Many questions from before the implementation of the new teaching plan in 1999 are no longer within the scope of the current "Political Theory Exam Syllabus." Without careful selection, the arrangement of questions would not be conducive to effective review.
While maintaining the key point arrangement of the previous edition, this revision includes the following updates:
1. A "Content Summary" has been added at the beginning of each chapter, aiming to give candidates a general overview of the key points assessed in that chapter. Additionally, key points that are no longer emphasized in the "Political Theory Exam Syllabus" have been removed, and some key points in certain chapters have been reorganized.
2. Based on suggestions from candidates who have used this book, the main text now includes past exam papers from 1998 to 2004. To help candidates better understand the characteristics of question-setting, the 2003 and 2004 papers are presented as originally written, while those from 1998 to 2002 have been scientifically organized. The specific arrangement methods are as follows:
(1) The questions for each year are still organized by question type to help candidates quickly familiarize themselves with the basic question types in the exam.
(2) The questions from both subjects for each year are combined into a single set and rearranged according to the order of key points specified in the "Political Theory Exam Syllabus," i.e., in the order of Marxist Philosophy, Marxist Political Economy, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the "Three Represents" Important Thought, and Contemporary World Economy and Politics.
(3) According to the requirements of the "Political Theory Exam Syllabus," key points that are no longer assessed have been removed, as well as the "Current Policies and Situations" section and the "Contemporary World Economy and Politics" section.
(4) The answers to the multiple-choice questions are appended at the end of each set of questions, providing candidates with a reference for self-assessment. Through these editorial adjustments, candidates will not be distracted by "out-of-syllabus" questions when reviewing each set of papers.
