Features: Xie Chuyu was born in Shantou City, Guangdong Province in 1962. In 1988, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. In 1998, he was admitted to the (equivalent degree graduate program) of the Oil Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has participated in the "Ivory Classical Oil Painting Technique and Material Research Class" and the "Western Contemporary Art New Material Study Class." Currently, he is an associate professor at the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and a painter at the Guangdong Art Creation Institute. Since 1989, he has held five solo exhibitions in Guangzhou, Taiwan, and Singapore. In 1993 and 2001, he traveled to the United States and France for academic exchanges and professional inspections, and to date, he has visited nearly thirty countries. Through years of exploration and practice, he has developed a refined and rigorous, elegant and polished, and concise painting style. Representative works include "Chinese Girl," "Pottery," and "Punching Bag on a Wooden Board," among others. He has participated in major exhibitions such as the "China Oil Painting Art Exhibition," the "8th National Fine Arts Exhibition Outstanding Works Exhibition," and the "China Oil Painting Elite Invitational Exhibition" multiple times. He has been introduced and featured in magazines such as "Art," "China Oil Painting," "Collection World," "The Artist," "Galleries," and "Modern Art Monthly" on numerous occasions.
