Features: The rapid, sustained, and healthy development of China's economy has driven the rapid growth of its foreign trade. In turn, the rapid development of foreign trade has further promoted the rapid growth of the domestic economy. According to statistics from 2003, China's per capita gross national product has exceeded 1,000 U.S. dollars, and its total foreign trade import and export volume ranks fourth in the world. Correspondingly, the customs broker workforce is also expanding. The overall quality of the customs broker workforce is directly related to the administrative efficiency of customs, the speed of import and export customs clearance, and the order of foreign trade. In accordance with the provisions of the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China" that "customs brokers must legally obtain customs broker qualifications," customs implement a national unified examination system for customs broker qualifications. Customs brokers must pass the national unified examination for customs broker qualifications to obtain the "Certificate of Customs Broker Qualification." The General Administration of Customs has established the Customs Broker Qualification Examination Committee to ensure the scientific and fair nature of the examination.
