Features: The book "Heart Monument — Hero Ren Changxia," edited by the Propaganda Department of Dengfeng Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shanghai Hope Project Office, was published this month. It is the second publication to promote the advanced deeds of Ren Changxia after the book "Ren Changxia." Published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press, the book includes nearly 30 photographs of Ren Changxia's work, study, and life, divided into four parts: "Hero Reappears," "Rational Light," "Family Affection," and "Dengfeng's Tears." In addition to poems and articles mourning the martyrs, it also includes key materials from Ren Changxia's report meeting and a speech she delivered during her lifetime. Former leaders of the Shanghai Municipal Committee who served as provincial committee leaders in Henan wrote the book's title.
As a model of enforcing the law for the people, Ren Changxia is like a brilliant cloud spreading her fame across the vast Central Plains. Her deeds are deeply moving and heart-wrenching. Ren Changxia left her most magnificent moment on the Mount Song land, defending peace with her own blood, and practiced the fundamental requirement of "serving the Party and the people" through her belief, character, and integrity, demonstrating the lofty spiritual realm of a Communist Party member. She composed a heroic poem of a people's police officer loyal to the Party, the people, and the law, setting an shining example of "using power for the people, cherishing the people, and seeking benefits for the people."
As a police chief, Ren Changxia's advanced deeds were embodied in her loyalty to duty and enforcing the law for the people. She was like a long rope and a sharp sword against criminals, showing righteous integrity; towards the people, she was meticulous and compassionate. She truly lived up to the model of a police chief. Ren Changxia's life was one of dedicating oneself to ideals, one of hating evil and driving away darkness, one of laying one's heart bare to solve people's worries, and one of being upright and incorruptible. Her deeds and spirit undoubtedly have a great inspirational and motivational power for every Communist Party member and leader at all levels.
How should a person establish their life goals? What kind of worldview, life philosophy, and values should one adopt? How should a Communist Party member fulfill their obligations and practice their solemn vows? Ren Changxia set an example for us. Her model behavior dispelled the temporary confusion in some people's minds, awakened the conscience of a few who had been dormant and the long-forgotten sense of justice, and inspired us to strive harder and achieve more. A person who sincerely does things for the people will never be forgotten by the masses.
After the tragic news of Ren Changxia's death in the line of duty spread, it immediately caused a strong response in society. Her advanced deeds drew great attention from all levels of Party and government departments and leaders, and she was revered by all sectors of society and the masses of cadres and people. After her death, over 100,000 people spontaneously bid farewell to her, from elderly people to young children, from government officials to rural farmers. A wave of learning from heroes, praising heroes, and striving to be heroes surged. All this eloquently proves that on our high-raised moral banner, traditional virtues such as selflessness, dedication, loyalty to duty, loving and serving the people, hating evil, and integrity still shine brightly and remain the main theme of our era, like the mighty Yangtze River rushing forward with overwhelming force, or like the great bell that stops the clouds and shakes the world, resounding and powerful.
Ren Changxia's model behavior and lofty spirit are the brilliant sparks that perfectly combine the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation with the spirit of the times.
At present, the people of the country are striving to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects. At this moment, learning from Ren Changxia's model behavior and promoting her lofty spirit undoubtedly has great practical significance. Through learning from Ren Changxia, we should strive to remember the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly wherever we go, fulfilling the obligations and responsibilities of a Communist Party member and leader; to be loyal to the Party and the people's cause, fulfilling our duties selflessly and devotedly; to always remember our professional ethics and maintain the good image of Communist Party members and leaders through our model behavior; and to treat the people as family, truly representing, safeguarding, and realizing the fundamental interests of the people.
"Nature has a righteous spirit, and it is given in various forms." Ren Changxia's model behavior and lofty spirit will undoubtedly inspire the broad masses of people to gather strength with righteous integrity, youthful vigor, and indomitable spirit, to rally heavier burdens on their shoulders and tread difficulties under their feet, and to forge ahead with determination to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
