Features: There are too many cartoonists in the world, countless in number, but those who can truly be called world masters of humor are as rare as stars in the morning. Argentine cartoonist Zino is undoubtedly one of the few world masters of humor. Zino's original name is Hokin Salvador Lavado, born in Mendoza, Argentina in 1932, and later settled in Buenos Aires. In his early years, Zino studied at the Buenos Aires School of Fine Arts and, after graduation, made painting his profession. In the mid-1960s, he gained fame by creating the comic strip "Mafalda" for the well-known weekly magazine "Close-Up" and the newspaper "The World" in Buenos Aires. In addition to "Mafalda," over the decades, Zino also created a large number of single-panel cartoons and non-series comic strips, which were compiled into several comic collections such as "Men and Women," "Zino's Therapy," "The Birth of Humanity," and "Don't Shout at Me," influencing the world. Zino excels at using the sharp gaze of an observer to critically and incisively critique human nature, dissecting the myriad aspects of life. His works are sharp, biting, and straight to the heart, with narrative and painting techniques that have reached the pinnacle of perfection. In the early 1990s, our company was the first to introduce Zino's comic works to China, publishing two versions—selected works of "Mafalda" and "Zino Comics"—which had a certain impact domestically. However, due to the limitations of the time, the works in those two versions were very limited. Currently, through our continuous efforts, we have obtained the copyright to Zino's comics and have been able to comprehensively introduce his masterpieces. We have completely reorganized all of Zino's works, dividing them into five volumes: "The Vast World," "Adam and Eve," "Between the Sexes," "Men and Women," and "Mafalda." This volume, "Adam and Eve," is one of them.
