Features: This book recounts the experiences of over one hundred countries encountered by Xuanzang during his journey westward, depicting the cultural arts, political and religious systems, military geography, and customs of various ethnic groups in Central and South Asia. It is a renowned cultural heritage of the world. Through images that transcend time, the past expedition is vividly revived, with the sound of camel bells, the ocean, temples, and treasure troves brought back to life in dynamic visuals and classic text. Counting the achievements of emperors throughout history, apart from the Yellow Emperor (Huangdi), the Emperor Shun, and the Emperor Yao, none could match the accomplishments of the Tang Dynasty emperors. Our Tang Dynasty unified the empire, bringing peace and prosperity to the people. The nation was strong and feared by all, with neighboring barbarian tribes competing to pay homage. During my journey to India, through my own eyes and ears, I could see that the achievements of our Tang Dynasty surpassed those of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. All spirits benefited from the benevolent grace of the Tang Dynasty, and all humans praised the achievements of the Tang Dynasty's governance and celebrated the prosperity of its cultural virtues. Examining ancient records and pictorial materials, none could be compared to the Tang Dynasty.
