Features: Like many other disciplines, the development of medical science has reached an ever-accelerating pace. Otolaryngology is no exception. With societal progress, the virtuous cycle of high-tech applications and theoretical updates has brought about significant changes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of many diseases. Surgical interventions have also undergone transformations. This shift has been particularly pronounced over the past two decades. In otolaryngology surgery, for instance, due to the declining incidence of certain diseases and even their gradual extinction within the country, some once-common surgical procedures have now become historical references. However, many other techniques have been continuously refined to become more rational, while numerous others have been developed and innovated. All these advancements have greatly improved surgical efficacy and postoperative quality of life for patients. Our otolaryngology colleagues in China have long been working on the clinical front, accumulating extensive experience and data while treating a large number of patients. Many have also tirelessly engaged in outstanding clinical research, achieving valuable results, thereby contributing to the advancement of otolaryngology surgical techniques in our country. To summarize the experiences of this period and contribute to the development of otolaryngology surgery, we invited some colleagues to compile their years of clinical experience and research achievements, extensively referencing relevant domestic and international literature. Without hesitation, we have compiled this book, hoping it may serve as a summary, report, and, if possible, benefit the readers. The contributors are all experts, professors with years of clinical experience, as well as scholars pursuing doctoral or master's degrees in otolaryngology clinical research. This book is a color atlas, making it more (closer to clinical practice) and well-organized. It is divided into seven parts, with over 1,200 color illustrations. The content includes surgical indications, preoperative preparation, anesthesia and positioning, surgical steps, and postoperative management. Some chapters also include necessary surgical anatomy knowledge or theoretical overviews to facilitate deeper understanding. Keywords and surgical techniques in the book are annotated in English for easy reference. It is intended for otolaryngology physicians to use as a clinical reference.
