Features: This book aims to embody three characteristics: First, it takes Marxism as the guiding principle, observes international economic behavior from the perspective of developing countries, and conducts research on issues concerning developing countries. To this end, the book introduces Marxist international trade theory and the main viewpoints of prominent economists from developing countries in relevant chapters. Second, it emphasizes a combination of introduction and evaluation, providing a comprehensive introduction to Western theories and policies while conducting necessary analysis and evaluation of their main policy viewpoints. Third, based on the basic requirements of textbook compilation, it strives to achieve a complete system, comprehensive content, theoretical connection with practice, and concise writing. Considering the significant practical implications of economic globalization and international investment, this book not only includes the two main parts—international trade and international finance—common to most textbooks but also places special emphasis on international investment and specifically adds a chapter titled "Economic Globalization and National Economic Security" (Part 4). Past textbooks often only discussed international trade and international finance, even if they addressed international investment, it was usually presented as a supplementary topic within the context of international trade. Part 4 analyzes the essence of globalization dominated by developed countries and focuses on discussing the advantages, disadvantages, and response strategies for developing countries. Additionally, considering the severe impact of financial crises, this book also includes a dedicated chapter on the relationship between short-term capital flows and financial crises.
