Features: "Chefs are money trees!" Previously, the author had reservations about this statement, but as the writing process progressed, the author gradually gained a deeper understanding of the culinary profession and could no longer refute this claim. Chefs are indispensable culinary talents in the food industry. Due to the significant improvement in people's living standards, the demand for "eating" has shifted from merely filling the stomach to, health, and enjoyment. China's food industry is facing unprecedented challenges, necessitating more chefs to serve the industry so that China's food industry development can meet the needs of modern life. As chefs are the technical backbone of food enterprises, a successful chef's salary is no less than that of a white-collar worker or a floor manager, and in some cases, they may even surpass them. The purpose of writing this book is to help aspiring young chefs, through the experiences and insights of several renowned chefs, understand the path to becoming a successful chef. By learning the culinary talent concepts and basic technical skills introduced in this book, they can continuously improve themselves and accumulate the strength needed to compete in society. Success as a chef is both difficult and not difficult. It is not difficult because, as long as one is determined, willing to endure hardship and fatigue, and is diligent in learning and practicing, success is certain. It is difficult because it requires a significant amount of time and effort, and more importantly, one must keep pace with the times. Those who rely solely on a single recipe and expect to use it forever face the inevitable risk of being and fear. This book delves into the intellectual qualities, technical skills, and catering knowledge that chefs must possess, abandoning the traditional "technical + recipe" model of kitchen work books. It comprehensively introduces the technical skills required for various positions in the chef's profession, with a vast and deep knowledge base and strong practical applicability. Even if you know nothing about the culinary profession, as long as you are determined to succeed, this book can help you open the door to a career as a chef. Of course, the level of your future achievements, whether you can reach the pinnacle of your career, and whether you can step into a bright "financial future," will depend on whether you can fully and deeply master the content of this book and continuously apply, develop, and persevere in practice. Even for chefs with some experience, this book remains a valuable mentor and friend. As long as you are truly committed to self-improvement and maintain a humble attitude toward learning, it will undoubtedly add to your strengths and provide you with many insightful lessons. The successful completion of this book would not have been possible without the of many chefs. Here, the author and Weigao Company extend their heartfelt gratitude to them. We thank them for openly sharing their successful experiences and insights without reservation, and for their noble spirit in supporting those who follow. Special thanks are due to:
