Features: "The Education, Science & Culture Action" was initiated by the Science & Education Channel of CCTV. Over three years, it has embodied the spirit of China's modern science and education-driven national development strategy, the persistent pursuit of "educational character, scientific quality, and cultural taste" by the channel, and the courage, wisdom, and dedication of TV professionals from CCTV leadership, Science & Education Channel leadership, production, and management. CCTV established the Science & Education Channel in 2001, marking the beginning of its professional journey in TV cultural communication. Each "Education, Science & Culture Action" has strived tirelessly, avoiding unnecessary complexity, and can be described as "though laborious as sifting through thousands of pebbles," it has only selectively woven together a tiny fraction of outstanding cultural achievements from both China and the world. However, in the era of electronic communication, it is more like a seed that has continuously been sown into the hearts of a vast audience eager for knowledge. The "Education, Science & Culture Action" produced by the Science & Education Channel during the summer of 2003 was divided into seven major sections: literature, art education, history, geography, nature, science & technology, and comprehensive. The broadcast lasted over 60 days, with a wide range of themes, rich content, and unique perspectives, permeating the vivid audiovisual world with profound philosophical thoughts and humanistic care. To facilitate deeper understanding of the TV programs and mastery of related cultural knowledge, and to explore a cross-media cultural communication approach, the Social & Educational Program Center of CCTV collaborated with Shanghai Science & Technology Literature Press to integrate resources from the "2003 Summer Education, Science & Culture Action" and other excellent programs, publishing them as books under the title "CCTV Science & Education Channel Education, Science & Culture Action – Basic Storage for the Mind." The series consists of eight volumes: "Exploring the Mysterious Mysteries of the Universe" (original astronomy section), "Challenging Earth Stories" (original geography section), "Searching for Lost World Heritage" (original history section), "Science Activities That Changed Humanity" (original science & technology section), "A Literary Feast Across Time and Space" (original literature section), "A Heartfelt Journey Through the Artistic Hall of Fame" (original comprehensive section), "Survival Rules in the Animal World" (original nature section), and "The Long River of History of Technological Inventions" (original "Manual of the Arts and Crafts"). In this way, the TV "Education, Science & Culture Action" has finally stepped out of the screen with vibrant energy, reaching into the hands and hearts of the broad audience and readers.
