Features: This book is based on 70 poems from the mandatory recitation list in the "Primary School Chinese Language Curriculum Standards." To reflect changes in educational philosophy, the evolution of the recitation list, and the needs of students using the new curriculum standards textbooks, experts were specially invited to compile this book. Both the "Outline" and the "Standards" recommend mandatory recitation of outstanding ancient Chinese and classical poems, but their requirements differ, and there is also a difference in quantity. The "Standards" require primary school students to recite 70 ancient poems, which is 10 fewer than the original "Outline." The order of the poems in this book follows the sequence in "Appendix 2" of the "Standards." The overall format is largely consistent, except for "Han Yuefu" and "Northern Dynasties Folk Songs," each mandatory recitation poem includes four parts: "Author," "Annotations," "Introduction," and "Links." Especially the "Links" section, the selected poems are related to the mandatory recitation poem either in terms of writing themes or techniques. This section is highly beneficial for broadening the horizons of primary school students and enriching their knowledge. Additionally, after some selected poems, quotes from ancient scholars on the mandatory recitation list are included to assist teachers and parents in guiding students.
