Features: Many great philosophers have said that people should not be ashamed of their childhood's innocence and ignorance. But I feel ashamed when I recall the doubts of my childhood. I am not saying my birth is suspicious. I was born into a very good family. Three years after the founding of the People's Republic of China, I was born into the family of one of the founding heroes of the republic, who served as the Minister of Public Security. I am the second-to-last of the seven children of my father, Luo Ruiqing, and my mother, Hao Zhiping. This is undeniable, evidenced by my appearance, physique, and the following birth story. The content of this book: In May 1951, less than a year after the outbreak of the Korean War, the Chinese working-class regime had only been in existence for two years. The fervent Anti-American and Anti-Imperialist Movement was unfolding across the country. To protect the new regime, the "Regulations for Punishing Counter-Revolutionaries" issued by the Central People's Government in February of that year led to a climax of the anti-counter-revolutionary mass movement nationwide in the spring. As the Minister of Public Security of the republic, my father was naturally busy with national affairs, while my mother, the Political Department Head of the Ministry of Public Security, was busy with both national and family matters. Therefore, the child who should have been carried for ten months and then born was rushed into the world after only seven months of gestation following my mother's hasty hot bath.
