Features: As early as two hundred years ago, British anthropologist E. B. Tylor defined culture in his book Primitive Culture as "a complex whole which includes knowledge, beliefs, art, morals, laws, customs, and other capabilities and habits acquired by members of society." According to his examination of Ba Yu culture, it is evident that a single series of books cannot fully unravel all its mysteries. Researching Ba Yu culture is an indispensable prerequisite for promoting it. A series of books can only make a modest contribution, and it is hoped that subsequent works, cross-disciplinary works, and definitive works will gradually emerge. The Ba Yu Culture Series, organized and compiled by Chongqing Publishing House, is one of the key books under the "Four Plus One" project spearheaded by the Propaganda Department of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. It invites relevant experts and scholars to contribute, aiming to systematically present the rich connotations of Ba Yu culture from a broad perspective, multi-dimensional approach, and comprehensive level. This series not only holds academic value but also helps to enhance the practical understanding of Ba Yu culture's historical evolution, regional characteristics, and cultural landscape among various stakeholders. It also plays a positive role in shaping Chongqing as a historical and cultural city.
