Features: In the early 1990s, when serious literature was at its lowest point, our publishing house once launched the "Cross-Century Literary Series." This series has so far published representative works of writers, encompassing the works of a group of influential writers in the literary world since the new era. After the books were published, they had a broad impact on both the literary and publishing communities. However, the "Cross-Century Literary Series" mainly collected short stories and novellas, and in terms of publishing novels, we still lacked a brand that could help readers identify them. This summer, while discussing the publication of a series of pocket-sized novels, we thought of the mythical "Nine-Headed Bird" from ancient legends. This small creature, once used to refer to people from Hubei but with mixed connotations, was chosen as the symbol for our series.
