Features: It is often said that "women are books," but it seems that the reading rate of books about beautiful and legendary women is always higher. Li Fuhua is such a woman. Although she is now in her 40s, the title of "beauty" still follows her like a shadow, just as it did 20 years ago when she won the first "Miss Taiwan" competition. Li Fuhua came to Shanghai to promote New Zealand golden kiwifruit, but her brilliance almost overshadowed the golden fruits themselves. Journalists were more interested in her extraordinary personal life experiences, curious about how she became a beautiful and successful woman. Before turning 20, Li Fuhua, encouraged by her classmates, blindly participated in the first "Miss Taiwan" beauty pageant and unexpectedly became a sensation, winning the title of Miss Taiwan. She appeared in shampoo advertisements, participated in various promotional tours, was received by high-profile individuals, and was approached by film companies. Yet, all of this did not hinder Li Fuhua's dream of pursuing education. Soon after, she and her then-boyfriend went to Webster University in Vienna, Europe, majoring in marketing and market management. In 1989, Li Fuhua graduated and set her sights on the Taiwan branch of American Express International. On the day she was hired, Li Fuhua made 200 phone calls to clients. By the third day, her throat was so hoarse that she could no longer speak. Her boss asked her, "What are you doing here?" She could only answer with gestures, "I came to work." Soon, Li Fuhua's sales performance ranked first in the entire company, and she was awarded the Best Salesperson and Outstanding Employee Performance Award. But beauty can sometimes be a, and rumors spread within the company: "She got the top position only because of her long hair." Out of anger, Li Fuhua cut her hair short, like a boy. It seems that beautiful women's marriages are often troubled. The man she studied with finally married Li Fuhua, but a few years later, he left her with their daughter in a peaceful separation. Then, a Dutch nobleman who was obsessed with Li Fuhua gave her a wedding ring. The life of the Dutch nobleman left Li Fuhua, who had begun to focus on being a wife, feeling confused. She didn't like the, and she hated wearing gold and diamonds every day. Her only favorite work was constantly tilling the garden. One day, her former American boss called to check on her and asked what she was doing. She gasped and said, "I'm tilling the garden. I've been doing it for four hours straight." The boss on the other end exclaimed, "Do you know you're wasting your talent? Come back to work!" The second marriage, which lasted only nine months, ended like this. A year later, Li Fuhua and the Dutch nobleman officially divorced. Yet, to this day, they remain the best of friends. After losing her marriage, Li Fuhua began to encounter continuous opportunities in her career. Her familiarity with the European market and her understanding of the Chinese market gave her a unique advantage. She was later recruited by Evergreen Air Transport Corporation and Amway International, where she was responsible for public relations, marketing, and the arrangement of domestic and international conferences. In January 2000, she was invited to join Zespri International, the global marketing company of New Zealand kiwifruit, as the Taiwan Regional Manager and Greater China Marketing Manager, responsible for the marketing planning, sales channels, and advertising and public relations of Zespri kiwifruit in both Taiwan and mainland China. Beauty has indeed helped her a lot. She smiled and said, "At least unfamiliar clients don't find me unpleasant."
