Features: This series of textbooks covers two major disciplines—economics and management—and includes the main courses of various fields such as business management, accounting, marketing, financial management, engineering management, economics, international trade, public finance, finance, and statistics. This series of textbooks combines the characteristics of the new era and the practical realities of China's reform and development to provide in-depth and accessible introductions and discussions on fundamental theories, basic knowledge, operational techniques and methods, as well as major theoretical and practical issues in economic development and economic system reform. It aims to be comprehensive, systematic, up-to-date, theory-driven, and highly practical, making it suitable for the teaching needs of relevant majors in higher education institutions, as well as a reference for theoretical educators and practicing professionals in economic and management fields. In the writing of this book, we strive to reflect the latest developments and perspectives in the field of financial management, systematically arranging the theoretical structure and content system of the textbook. First, we take the principal-agent theory as the starting point and, from the perspective of corporate governance, argue that the goal of corporate financial management should be shareholder wealth maximization. Second, we systematically and thoroughly elaborate on the main activities of financial management, including investment decisions, financing decisions, and distribution decisions, all centered around how to achieve the financial management goals. Finally, we arrange a series of special topics addressing the hot and challenging issues in China's corporate reform and financial management practices. In Chapter 12, we specifically discuss various forms of corporate restructuring and their applications. In response to the need for risk management in enterprises facing volatile operating environments, we allocate Chapter 13 to explore corporate risk management, combining the innovation and development of current financial hedging tools. This part of the content has not yet been systematically discussed in domestic financial management textbooks. Financial management is a practical science. To enable users to gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding and mastery of the fundamental theories and methods of financial management from an applied perspective, we strive to make profound theories accessible and supplement them with a large number of relevant cases. On one hand, this aims to make the material easier to learn and understand, while also enhancing the of the textbook for entrepreneurs and practitioners engaged in corporate financial activities. On the other hand, it hopes to promote the development and popularization of case-based teaching.
