Features: Children's Sight-Singing is a supplementary and revised version based on the internal teaching material Children's Sight-Singing from the Central Conservatory of Music. The book is divided into two volumes. Volume 1 consists of four chapters, with Chapters 1, 2, and 3 arranged in order of increasing difficulty in terms of key, meter, and rhythm. Each chapter includes a key-based sight-singing exercise, primarily composed of sight-singing pieces, sight-reading exercises, clapping and singing activities, and a review section. The final chapter is presented in the form of "mini-variation pieces" to comprehensively review the learned content. Volume 2 contains eight chapters. Chapters 5 and 6 retain the writing style of Volume 1, while the subsequent chapters cover natural minor, harmonic minor, 3/8 meter, 6/8 meter, and sight-singing with simple chromatic notes. The final chapter focuses on round singing and two-part sight-singing. The book highlights the "children's" theme, with the overall arrangement following a key and rhythm-based progression, progressing from simple to advanced levels. The selection of pieces emphasizes review and reinforcement of previously learned material. In terms of content, the book primarily features children's songs, supplemented by a large number of renowned Chinese and foreign classical pieces and folk songs. To enhance teaching effectiveness, many of the selected songs and pieces are excerpted, with lyrics generally limited to a single verse. Teachers can choose suitable content from any part of the book based on students' age and skill level. For teaching purposes, all pieces are provided in both treble and bass clef notation.
