Features: Through two years of teaching use, the book is generally good, but some shortcomings have also been found. Taking the opportunity of reprinting, some revisions have been made. The main revisions are as follows:
1. To further suit teaching and facilitate reader learning, "Chapter Teaching Objectives and Requirements" have been added at the beginning of each chapter, and "Review Questions" have been added at the end of each chapter.
2. Adjustment of the logical system of the book content; the first four chapters form the foundation of the entire book. Chapter 1 discusses the concepts, content, and basic ideas of purchasing and purchasing management, as well as inventory control. Chapters 2, 3, and 4 respectively address three important issues: purchasing management groups, purchase requests and demand analysis, and supplier selection and management, which all subsequent purchasing methods must encounter. The following chapters discuss various purchasing methods and techniques, with the most important being order-point purchasing, followed by MRP purchasing, JIT purchasing, tender purchasing, and supply chain purchasing.
3. Revision of academic viewpoints: In Chapter 5, the original version stated that the quantitative order method is suitable for Class C materials and the periodic order method is suitable for Class A materials. This revision has been accordingly corrected.
4. Some cases have been added.
