Features: Logistics science is a perfect combination of modern technological science and modern economic science. The interdisciplinary and marginal science often mentioned in the academic field currently does not seem to accurately describe the nature of logistics science. In fact, logistics science comprehensively integrates both economic science and technological science, and it is a comprehensive integration of economic science and technological science from multiple disciplines, such as: resource allocation science, warehousing science, circulation science, environmental science, transportation science, handling science, as well as marketing science, renewable science, systems science, etc. Therefore, logistics science is a comprehensive science that integrates many disciplines. This kind of comprehensive science is one of the trends in the development of modern science. The emergence of logistics as a comprehensive science is an inevitable requirement of modern large-scale production and circulation. The modern economic and social environment has created numerous complex and interconnected material movement networks that permeate through various entities and between them, serving as the veins of the economy and society. It nurtures and purifies while managing and circulating, relying on the comprehensive application of all relevant modern sciences. The main purpose of Modern Logistics Science is to reflect this highly interdisciplinary subject system in one book, enabling us to gain a more complete and clearer understanding of logistics science and its modern advancements. A very significant feature of modern logistics science is that it no longer examines logistics activities in isolation or locally but can more comprehensively, systematically, and broadly study and observe the overall logistics activities. Modern Logistics Science provides us with the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of logistics, as well as the chance to recognize the remarkable progress of logistics science in recent times.
