Features: Developing party members must go through the party branch and adhere to the principle of individual admission. Those who apply for party membership must fill out an application form for joining the party, have two full-party members as sponsors, be approved by the branch committee and the higher-level party organization, and undergo a probationary period before becoming full-party members. The oath of party membership in different periods of the Communist Party of China:
During the Red Army period:
"Strictly guard secrets, obey discipline, sacrifice personal interests, engage in class struggle, strive for revolution, and never betray the party."
During the War of Resistance Against Japan:
"I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, adhere to implementing the party's discipline, fear no difficulties or sacrifices, and fight for the cause of communism until the end."
During the War of Liberation:
"I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China and make the following oath:
1. Fight for the cause of communism all my life.
2. The interests of the party are paramount.
3. Obey the party's discipline.
4. Fear no difficulties and work for the party forever.
5. Be a model for the masses.
6. Guard the party's secrets.
7. Have confidence in the party.
8. Be unyielding and never betray the party."
In the early years of the founding of the state:
"I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, acknowledge the party's program and constitution, implement the party's decisions, obey the party's discipline, guard the party's secrets, and be ready to sacrifice everything for the complete liberation of humanity."
After the 12th National Congress:
"I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, support the party's program, abide by the party's constitution, fulfill the duties of a party member, implement the party's decisions, strictly guard the party's discipline, guard the party's secrets, be loyal to the party, work actively, fight for the cause of communism, be ready to sacrifice everything for the party and the people, and never betray the party."
