Features: Lin Yuqing, a trainee sponsored by the military academy, is a beautiful and innocent girl. She is sincere and straightforward, usually wearing a pair of military-issue shoes. However, she is also willful, undisciplined, and prone to making small mistakes occasionally. Her academic performance is average—she had to take the CET-4 exam three times to pass. Through more than three years of discipline and hardship in the military academy, with the care and help of classmates like Tong Hui, Ding Xiaoming, and Fang Chi, she finally broke free from the shadow of being a sponsored trainee and grew into an outstanding military academy student. In the end, she sacrificed her life on the front lines of the flood relief efforts. It was only then that everyone learned she was the daughter of a general. The characters are vivid and believable, the plot is full of twists and turns, and the story is highly readable.
