This book introduces the four major ethnic medicines of China—Tibetan medicine, Uyghur medicine, Mongolian medicine, and Dai medicine. The breeding of new varieties of medicinal plants is of great significance for improving the production level of medicinal plants and the implementation of GAP. This book introduces hybrid breeding, polyploid breeding, and space breeding methods, combining the practice and characteristics of medicinal plant breeding. Additionally, the book provides a detailed introduction to rapid propagation techniques for endangered medicinal plants, the use of plant cell culture to produce active ingredients, and the use of transgenic technology to produce active ingredients.
