Features: "Comprehensive Coaching for Junior High School Students' Exam Essays" is one of the "New Century Writing Series." The series was designed based on interviews with 200 people and surveys of 1,000 individuals. It is a research outcome collectively developed by scholars from the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, numerous doctoral and master's students from Peking University and Beijing Normal University, as well as frontline teachers from several well-known middle schools in Beijing. The survey results showed that most students have a fear of exam essays. Even students with strong writing skills often underperform in exams. In addition to factors like psychological tension and time pressure, common reasons for this phenomenon include an inability to distinguish between exam essays and regular practice essays, a lack of systematic preparation exercises, misjudgment of essay topics, narrow knowledge base, weak analytical skills, and poor fundamental language proficiency. This book addresses these prominent issues by innovatively designing a coaching program. The book consists of 14 units, each containing 3 to 11 exercises and corresponding model essays. Each model essay is further analyzed in the form of content summaries, in-text comments, and post-text evaluations, accompanied by illustrations. A few points should be noted: , although the research team has innovatively designed the coaching program, this book cannot solve all the problems of all students; second, the guiding text in this book is open-ended, aimed at broadening students' thinking; third, the examination requirements for junior high school entrance exam essays generally include clauses such as "real names and places must be included," but due to space constraints, these requirements are not listed in the exercises of this book. However, candidates should still adhere to this stipulation.
