Blue Jay was an extraordinary homing pigeon, and author McCutcheon details its life from hatching to numerous heroic deeds through personal experience. Blue Jay's legendary journey was filled with hardships—his father perished in a storm, his mother died at the claws of a peregrine falcon, and his companions were shot down by enemy aircraft. He had to face the fierce and cunning jackals and wild cats, while also evading the treacherous and ruthless peregrine falcons and owls. Yet, relying on his wit and bravery, he survived. Through continuous training, Blue Jay eventually achieved remarkable feats on the battlefield, breaking through enemy gunfire, evading the relentless pursuit of enemy aircraft, delivering intelligence to British and Indian forces, and saving soldiers' lives, thereby turning the tide of war. With refined and vivid penwork, the author masterfully portrays Blue Jay's cleverness and bravery, the innocent and persistent young owner, the simple and skilled hunter Gunde, and the devout and kind monks of the temple. Following Blue Jay's wings, you will climb the lofty and majestic snow peaks of the Himalayas, enter the cruel and mysterious tropical rainforest, and meet、、、、、、. Blue Jay is not just a brave homing pigeon but also an outstanding messenger. He delivers to us courage, love, and loyalty, and reminds us of this famous saying: Be close to nature, understand the world; be close to animals, and gain insights into life.
