Company Law

Features: Company law is the legal cornerstone of market economy societies. Academic monographs and textbooks on company law in common law countries are indeed abundant. However, it is undeniable that some English textbooks are overly rigorous in writing style, overly complex in grammatical structure, and overly obscure in legal terminology, which inadvertently reduces the interest of Chinese law students in reading original English company law works. This book, in terms of its writing style and content arrangement, primarily considers the needs of teaching and self-study, and is generally organized in the order of the chapters of the Company Law of the People's Republic of China. To give students a more intuitive understanding, supplementary materials are appended at the end of the book. The specific contributions are as follows: Chapters 1 to 7 were written by Su Pengsheng (Professor at China University of Political Science and Law), Chapters 8 to 10 were written by Wu Jingming (Associate Professor at China University of Political Science and Law), and Chapters 11 to 13 were written by Chen Shouhai (Lecturer at China University of Petroleum and Natural Gas).
