Under the leadership of the Academic Degrees Office of the State Council and the National Master of Public Administration (MPA) Professional Degree Education Guidance Committee, and through the joint efforts of all participants, the preliminary version of this Teaching Syllabus for Political Science has been formed. During the compilation process, we have strived to adhere to the following principles:
1. Closely align with China's national conditions and political realities. The training objective of China's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is to cultivate management talents who serve the fundamental interests of the people in a socialist society and the public cause. Therefore, during the training process, especially in the teaching of the "Political Science" course, it is essential to uphold the stance, viewpoints, and methods of Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory, as well as the principles of the "Three Represents." This aims to cultivate students' correct political, value, and power perspectives, while enabling them to accurately and deeply understand and grasp China's national and political realities.
2. Closely align with the educational characteristics of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.
3. Strive to adhere to the foundational requirements of theory and knowledge.
4. Actively absorb cutting-edge achievements in the discipline.
5. Strictly define the basic content and requirements of teaching.
