Publish Date: 2003-06-01
Features: Wang Shuo is lonely in our time. It is he who has persistently upheld the tradition of realism in Chinese literature and the spirit of facing life in the correct direction. Most people are deceived by the superficial playfulness and rebellious tone on the surface, failing to see that he is, at his core, a true enlightenmentist. They overlook the deep humanistic spirit that permeates his novels, his compassion for the underdogs, his longing for love, and his yearning for the value of individual existence. This book includes the short stories "I Have Lost My Love Forever," "The Rubber Man," "I Am a 'Wolf'," "Give Me Strength," "No One Cheers," and "Liu Huifang."
