Features: The third and fourth volumes of "Practical Chinese Course" are intermediate-level textbooks designed for foreign students learning modern Chinese. They consist of thirty lessons, with unit review materials provided after every five lessons. Upon completing these two volumes, readers can further deepen their understanding of Chinese and improve their ability to use Chinese for communication, laying a solid foundation for advanced-level study. Although the proportion of written language gradually increases in the texts, continuously strengthening and enhancing oral expression remains one of the important tasks at the intermediate level. Each lesson in this book includes "dialogues" that highlight specific functional points, designed to reinforce oral practice. The introduction of grammar and vocabulary knowledge is primarily presented in the "Word Explanations" section. We have selected some common words and structures, using example sentences and necessary explanations to help readers better grasp their usage and enrich their language expression skills. In the "Word Explanations" section of the fourth volume, translations are no longer provided in the explanations. The explanations are not exhaustive but aim to be concise and easy to understand. Some uncommon words and grammatical terms are listed in a separate glossary at the end of the book in the order they appear. The "Notes" section primarily addresses background-related questions. At the end of each lesson, a variety of abundant practice materials are provided, with an emphasis on improving the ability to express ideas in longer passages, especially the flexible use of Chinese in specific contexts.
