Double Boom (1) (Zhuge Duncun Urban Life Comic Series)

Author: Zhu Degong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-02-01
Features: A jealous, vain, talkative, and plump middle-aged wife; a gluttonous, lazy, "weak" husband who enjoys a bit of old wine and admiring beautiful women; plus a mother-in-law and a son, forming a double-whammy of characters, unleashing a "marriage, family, and love" war. Bitter yet humorous, where the victors don’t care about winning, and the weak can "A-Q" when they lose. Zhu Degong has a keen observation of life. The success of his comic art lies in absorbing the achievements of contemporary foreign comics, digesting them entirely into something uniquely Chinese, and telling the stories of ordinary Chinese people. The popular four-panel comic format, combined with China’s unique humor and wisdom, is Zhu Degong’s creation—Zhu Degong’s wisdom. If you are a man, you cannot miss it: "She" is the most pure woman you could ever marry! If you are a woman, you absolutely cannot miss him: He is the most real man you could ever marry!! With laughter and scorn, listen to Zhu Degong’s fresh interpretation of urban love; with wit and sharpness, watch Double Whammy depict modern marital life.
