Features: This History of Chinese Literature was determined to be written at the April 1961 meeting of the Higher Education Literature and Arts Textbook Selection Plan. It referenced the teaching and research achievements of some participating higher education institutions at the time and was published in July 1963. Over the ten years since its publication, we have gradually discovered some issues in teaching and research, and colleagues from sister institutions have also proposed valuable suggestions. Now, based on this new situation, we have revised and corrected the book and rewritten some chapters.
