I also once traveled with a backpack along the ancient post road for a thousand years. Suddenly turning back, I saw vast mountains and winding ancient paths, as if the mountains, rivers, and years were like faint old dreams. It seemed that the shouts of the horse team leader and the jingle of the horse caravan's bells came to my ears.
I have also once stood under the scorching sun, looking at the surging rapids of Tiger Leaping Gorge, feeling and reverence, and unable to help but be agitated in spirit.
I have also once heard the moving melody of the xun (a traditional bamboo flute), and seen countless splashes of water falling on the celebrating crowds—the young men and girls dancing gracefully. Yunnan, Yunnan, the land of colorful clouds. Here, a perfect symphony of harmony between humans and nature is played.
