Features: The book focuses on national strategy, and pursuing such studies requires not only extensive knowledge in history, philosophy, and other disciplines but also rich practical experience. In both aspects, especially the latter, I clearly feel inadequate. Most of my academic career has been spent in schools and research institutions, which has certain constraints on my research on strategic issues. This cannot be compensated in the short term through book knowledge alone. Therefore, the value of my research may lie in a perspective or a concept. Without the testing of China's modernization practice, I dare not assert now how much of my insights on strategy are correct and how much are wrong. Throughout Chinese and foreign history, it is not uncommon to see scholars like Zhao Kuo, Ma Su, and Gaidar cause national disasters. I often remind myself throughout my life not to make such mistakes that would disappoint future generations. Therefore, I hope that when reading this book, everyone will think in conjunction with China's modernization practice and form better and more in new practices.
