Features: This specification was formulated in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Construction's document Jian Biao [1997] 108, "Notice on Issuing the Plan for the Formulation and Revision of National Engineering Construction Standards in 1997," by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry as the leading department, in conjunction with the affiliated units of the Ministry of Metallurgy, Ministry of Machinery, and Sinopec. It was revised from the original national standard "Construction and Acceptance Specification for Industrial Automation Instrument Engineering" GBJ93—86. This specification includes twelve chapters: General Provisions, Terms, Construction Preparation, Installation of Source Components, Installation of Instrument Equipment, Installation of Instrument Wiring, Installation of Instrument Pipelines, Degreasing, Electrical Explosion Proofing and Grounding, Protection, Instrument Testing, and Project Acceptance. The new specification name has been modified from "Industrial Automation Instrument Engineering" to "Automation Instrument Engineering," expanding its scope of application. Two new chapters, "Terms" and "Construction Preparation," have been written, along with four new sections: "Mechanical Quantity Detection Instruments," "Other Detection Instruments," "Control Instruments and Comprehensive Control Systems," and "Comprehensive Control System Testing." Some chapters of the original specification have been adjusted.
