Features: The second edition of the Collected Works of Marx and Engels was compiled in accordance with a decision made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Collected Works of Marx and Engels is a comprehensive collection of the entire writings of the founders of Marxism, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, published from 1956 to 1985, totaling 50 volumes. The second edition of the Collected Works of Marx and Engels is based on the first edition and has been re-edited and translated according to the second historical-critical edition and the German edition. The collection includes some works not included in the first edition and removes materials mistakenly included in the first edition that were not written by Marx and Engels. All works, except for a few languages, are translated and proofread according to the original texts. The collection is divided into four parts: Volumes 1-29 are the Works volumes, Volumes 30-45 are the Capital and Manuscripts volumes, Volumes 46-59 are the Correspondence volumes, and Volumes 60 and later are the Notes volumes. Compared to the first edition, the number of documents and the total number of words have increased significantly. Each volume of the Collected Works includes a Preface that introduces the background and main content of the included documents. At the end of each volume, reference materials such as annotations on political documents, name indexes, and document indexes are provided.
