Features: The Complete Yuan Drama reflects a brand-new selection perspective. Most previous Yuan qu anthologies only included Yuan zaju, while this book compiles both zaju and Nanxi, filling the gaps in previous Yuan qu compilations and correcting many errors. Its fundamental method of selecting fine copies and extensively cross-referencing provides innovative insights into the complex version issues of Yuan qu and makes valuable contributions to the preservation of ancient texts. The publication of The Complete Yuan Drama has been praised by scholars as an "immortal achievement that benefits the contemporary generation and the (qiānqiū - thousand generations) to come." For over 700 years since the Yuan Dynasty, as the "literature of an era," Yuan qu has finally gained a literary compendium worthy of its status.
