Features: This book can be used as a textbook for mechanical engineering and automation, mechatronics engineering, vehicle engineering, material forming and control, and other related majors in higher education institutions. It can also serve as a reference for engineering technicians in other related fields. The book primarily introduces the fundamental theories of feedback control systems and their engineering analysis and design methods. The entire book consists of ten chapters. The first three chapters mainly introduce the basic working principles of feedback control systems, the mathematical models of physical systems, and some fundamental concepts, including frequency characteristics. Chapters 4 to 7 cover the stability analysis, steady-state error analysis, transient response analysis, and design and compensation of control systems. Chapter 8 provides an introduction to the root locus method, which is commonly used in engineering. The last two chapters discuss sampled control systems and nonlinear control systems. The book includes numerous examples and exercises, and an introduction to the application of MATLAB control software along with practical examples is provided at the end.
