Features: "Simplified Solfege and Ear Training" is one of the newly compiled teaching materials for the music major in the satellite television education teacher training program. The book is divided into two volumes. This is the first volume, authored by Professor Sun Hong from the Composition Department of the China Conservatory of Music. The original "Solfege and Ear Training Volumes 1-4" (authored by Xu Jingxing and Sun Hong) adopted a five-line staff teaching method, primarily using the fixed-do solfege system. The main difference of this textbook is that it primarily uses the movable-do solfege system, arranged according to the principle of gradual progression based on the seven positions of movable-do, aligning with China's national conditions and the requirements of the satellite television education syllabus. Through methods such as auditory analysis, dictation, and sight-singing, it introduces common notes, rests, their combinations, major and minor triads and their inversions, as well as the identification of major, minor, and folk modes in seven positions. The book includes a large number of musical examples that closely match the course content, mostly being famous folk songs from China and abroad. These examples help learners broaden their horizons and efficiently improve their sight-singing and auditory skills. This book is also suitable for use by faculty and students of normal universities and music enthusiasts.
