Features: This workbook is a companion to the College English Reading and Writing Course for the 21st Century, designed for students taking college English courses. It consists of ten units. Each unit is divided into three parts: Part 1 provides supplementary exercises for TEXTA of the College English Reading and Writing Course for the 21st Century, Part 2 offers exercises for TEXTB, and Part 3 includes quick reading training. Part 1 includes the following eight types of exercises: 1. Spelling and Word Meaning; 2. Word Formation; 3. Usage of Prepositions and Adverbs; 4. Phrasal Verbs; 5. Error Correction; 6. Confusing Words; 7. Translation of Phrases and Idioms; 8. Cloze. Part 2 is similar to Part 1, but the Spelling and Word Meaning exercises in Part 2 are replaced with vocabulary completion tasks. Part 3 includes three short passages of about 300 words each, with five multiple-choice reading comprehension questions following each passage.
