It then explains the general and special toxicity (carcinogenic, teratogenic, and mutagenic effects) of environmental chemical pollutants, along with their basic theories and evaluation methods, as well as the theories and techniques for assessing the health risk and safety of environmental chemicals. Chapters 7 to 9 elaborate on the main branches of environmental toxicology—atmospheric environmental toxicology, aquatic environmental toxicology, and soil environmental toxicology—covering their fundamental content and research progress. Chapters 10 to 16 discuss the toxic effects of major environmental pollutants. At the end, it includes sixteen common experimental research methods in environmental toxicology, which can be used for undergraduate teaching practice and environmental toxicology research.
