Features: This book is a summary of my ten-year exploration in this field, infused with my passion for Chinese characters. Typography is an art that encompasses a wide range of areas—it not only involves studying the stroke forms and structures of characters, the relationship between typography and visual communication, the techniques of creative typographic design, and the forms of typographic layout arrangement, but also delves into numerous other issues such as the cultural connotations and market attributes of typography. Currently, there are already many books that discuss typography in detail, which is not the focus of this book. This book explores the issue of typographic creativity in the graphical representation of Chinese characters, aiming to give more Chinese characters a design vitality and expand the freedom for creative graphical typographic design. To make the exploration process more visual, Chapter 5 of the book includes teaching content related to my typography courses, along with numerous design works by students I have guided, for reference by readers. I have incorporated my research findings into my own typography course teaching, which has not only promoted teaching but also supplemented and refined the theory through practical teaching experience.
