Features: Archaeological excavation is a means of scientific research. It involves summarizing and synthesizing unearthed relics, remains, and various cultural information to identify the laws of development, interpret their cultural connotations, nature, functions, and historical contexts, among many other important issues. Over the years, the Terracotta Army Archaeological Team has dedicated significant effort to research, publishing over ten specialized books and more than 600 papers. They have promptly published the data obtained from excavations, allowing the world to share and study them together. Since its formation, the Terracotta Army Archaeological Team has conducted extensive archaeological exploration, excavation, and research over 25 years, covering a vast scope and rich content. In addition to exploring and excavating the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 Battle Formation Pits, they have conducted a relatively comprehensive survey of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, discovering over 500 various and mausoleums, as well as millions of square meters of ground-level architectural ruins. The entire mausoleum resembles a treasure trove of cultural relics. Princess Sirindhorn of Thailand said, "This is the paradise for archaeologists," making it a globally renowned archaeological site. The location of the Battle Formation Pits was originally a desolate wasteland, with dense trees, rocks, and sand, where wolves roamed at night. On this barren and desolate land, the Terracotta Army team worked tirelessly, pioneering a hard journey to achieve today's brilliance. Over the long years, some veteran team members have left, while new ones have continuously joined, and everyone has contributed a great deal. This book can only outline their work, and the details of some important archaeological discoveries cannot be described in detail. It is based on the author's familiar materials and personal experiences, recording personal, essentially serving as a personal account of the Terracotta Army archaeological excavations.
