Author: (Italian) Pareto

Publish Date: 2001-08-01
Features: General Sociology, this monumental work brought the author international acclaim; the original concepts of "residues" and "derivatives," the elite class circulation theory, and modern research methods in sociological theory, among others, established him as one of the representatives of Western sociological theory. Human society is the subject of numerous studies. Some of these studies constitute specialized disciplines, such as law, history, political economy, the history of religion, and so on; others encompass a more heterogeneous mix of disciplines. A discipline that is their synthesis and focuses on the general study of human society can be called sociology.
