Features: The new "Basic Teaching Requirements" for the Marxist Theory courses in ordinary universities nationwide, issued by the Ministry of Education in 1998, marked a new phase in the reform of "Two Courses" teaching. In the practice of teaching reform over more than three years, teachers and students generally reported that: First, it was difficult to provide in-depth theoretical answers to many of the complex issues encountered in the teaching process, which affected the persuasiveness of the "Two Courses." Second, due to various constraints, teachers felt that there was a significant lack of teaching materials during preparation and teaching, and they had limited awareness of recent research status and dynamic information, which impacted the overall quality of teaching. To address this, the Teaching Leading Group of "Two Courses" at Renmin University of China established a dedicated research team to conduct in-depth studies on the complex issues in Marxist theory teaching. Based on the actual needs of teachers, they compiled this series of "Teaching and Research Reference Books for Marxist Theory Courses." The series aligns with the course settings of Marxist theory and is divided into two series: "Analysis of Difficulties" and "Research Reviews."
"Analysis of Difficulties" series—Following the "Basic Teaching Requirements," it combines the latest developments in the discipline of each course to explain or conduct forward-looking research on complex teaching issues from theoretical and methodological perspectives, providing teachers and students with solutions, clarifications, and clearer insights.
"Research Reviews" series—Centered around the "Basic Teaching Requirements," it comprehensively reviews the research achievements and trends on major issues covered in each course in recent years, offering teachers new and rich references for teaching and research.
The series has preliminarily established a small teaching and research resource database for Marxist theory course teachers. We hope that a wide range of Marxist theory course teachers will actively participate in continuously improving, enriching, and expanding this database, jointly promoting the overall improvement of "Two Courses" teaching and research nationwide.
