Features: Compiling the History of Qing is a grand cultural project and a major undertaking for the nation. Our Chinese nation has a history of 5,000 years of civilization, with relatively precise records spanning about 4,075 years. Originally, historical research on the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties had historical facts and artifacts, but it was not systematic and lacked precise chronology. Later, through the study of historical records, astronomy, geography, archaeology, and other comprehensive research, the conclusions became clearer. Of course, there are still differing opinions in academia on certain issues, and further research can continue. To smoothly carry out the work of compiling the History of Qing, the State Council and relevant departments should strive to create a good working environment and conditions for the compilation committee, providing financial and material support, assistance, and high-quality services for the compilation work. Some colleagues may engage in comparisons, but I emphasize here that comparisons should not be made. Every dynasty's history should be studied, but if all twenty-five histories are launched at once, spreading the scope too wide and lacking adequate conditions, the History of Qing will certainly not be compiled well. I hope other historical research projects do not take advantage of this opportunity and focus their efforts on compiling the History of Qing well.
