Sectional Anatomy and MRI CT ECT Comparative Atlas

Features: This atlas selects and features 180 cross-sectional anatomical images, 337 MRI images, 105 CT images, 40 ECT images, and a certain number of MRA images. Each two pages form a unit: one page displays color-coded cross-sectional anatomical images, ECT images, and localization diagrams, while the other page presents CT and MRI images. All images in each unit are from the same cross-sectional plane with identical tangents and structures, facilitating readers in learning and application. This atlas is not only an indispensable reference for scholars in medical imaging but also an extremely valuable resource for clinicians in other disciplines when interpreting CT and MRI images.
The cross-sectional anatomical specimens were prepared from frozen sections of healthy Chinese cadavers. The transverse (horizontal) sections of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, as well as the sections of the head and neck and knee joints, have a thickness of 1 cm, while the coronal and sagittal sections of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis have a thickness of 2 cm. The various imaging datasets, including CT, MRI, and ECT, were obtained from scans of healthy Chinese individuals. The CT images were generated using a fourth-generation CT scanner and laser imaging. The head and neck and chest were imaged using plain scans, while the abdomen and pelvis were imaged using contrast-enhanced scans. The MRI images (T1WI, T2WI, and PDWI) were acquired using 1.5T and 2.0T MRI scanners with a spin-echo (SE) sequence. The terminology adheres to the "Human Anatomy Terms" issued by the National Natural Science Committee of China in 1991, with a Chinese-English comparison.
